Finale Quick Detailer is a fast finishing spray, drying aid and master all-round valeting and detailing perfector developed to give an immaculate, non-streak finish to every detail. When you’re looking to clean away light grime and marks to create a spotless, pristine surface, and add (or enhance) that essential warm carnauba glow, always finish with Finale!
Specifically engineered as the ultimate finisher for making the most of the time and effort you’ve put into any previous detailing stages, this advanced water-based formula is safe for use on all exterior surfaces, including paintwork, vinyl wraps, glass, plastic trim and brightwork.
Designed for simple ‘spritz, wipe and buff’ application, Finale quickly and safely removes blemishes such as fingerprints, water marks, drying towel residue, lint, surface dust, polish and stubborn wax residues, and it will not smear or streak, even when used in hot, cold or humid weather conditions. This forgiving nature makes our flagship quick detailer a crucial kitbag essential for any trade professional or detailing enthusiast… especially those looking for a speedy but immaculate finish when on the go.
While not designed as a stand-alone protection product, Finale is enriched with T1 Grade Brazilian carnauba to visually boost previously-applied paintwork protection layers, including hard waxes, sealants and ceramic coatings, helping to clean and restore barrier layers and their ability to level the optical finish of paint, gloss plastics and lacquer - leaving behind a deep shine and the signature glow associated with carnauba-based car waxes. In this way it actively adds-to, and safeguards, all protection layers during your detail, rather than allowing them to be degraded through physical abrasion. This means that paintwork and other sensitive surfaces can be buffed to their best, risk-free, at the end of large in-depth details and during routine maintenance.
Finale can also be used as professional drying aid, assisting in the hand drying process to make it quicker and easier than ever to obtain an expert-level, streak-free finish. The hydrophobic nature of the wax infusion - along with the added lubricants - in the formula can be utilised to enhance drying immediately after washing, while the vehicle is still wet. Simply spray a light mist directly over each panel and Finale will not only repel water - breaking it from surfaces and promoting beading to make it easier to pick up - but also lubricate your drying towel to help it glide more smoothly across surfaces and further protect against contact abrasion. This process also prevents premature drying of your rinse water, significantly cutting down on the risk of inflicting watermarks caused by the mineral deposits present in all tap water.
Finale isn’t just a great spray-on, quick detailer and drying aid, it’s also an effective lubricant, making it safe to aid the cleaning of light grime when added to a detailing bucket containing fresh water. This interim wash technique not only makes Finale the ideal companion for mobile detailing at car shows and other events, but ideal for home maintenance on specialist cars and classic vehicles that see a limited amount of road use and only light contamination. This ‘show wash’ method is safe for use on light soiling, and also requires no rinsing, offering a great solution for any situation where a limited amount of water is available for light cleaning tasks. By creating a mild solution of around 100ml per 2-3 litres water, Finale can be passed across all surfaces, panel by panel, lifting and surrounding light grime particles, lubricating dirt, and allowing it to be gently lifted away, trapping potentially harmful contamination in your wash mitt. Like all finishing products never apply to a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight. This is to prevent the formula from evaporating off prematurely. First give your bottle of Finale a good shake to thoroughly mix and activate the ingredients.
For normal use as a quick detailer and finishing spray (for removal of fingerprints, light grime, residues and other blemishes, or simply to finish off your paintwork): lightly mist Finale over each panel, working on a single panel at a time. Remember that a little goes a long way here, there is no need to completely saturate the surface. Just a very fine mist of Finale Quick Detailer is enough to remove blemishes, add a warm carnauba glow and leave a streak-free finish.
Spread the product evenly across the panel using a microfibre cloth. For best results we recommend using a soft, absorbent finishing cloth such as our Ultra Plush Microfibre or Primo Plush Microfibre. Despite containing a wax infusion there is no curing time, so you can simply refold your cloth to reveal a fresh, dry portion, and buff your Finale until the finish is clear and smear-free.
For use as a drying aid: once the vehicle has been cleaned thoroughly and rinsed, spritz a light mist of Finale over all panels, before immediately drying as normal using a soft microfibre drying towel such as our Aqua Deluxe, Aqua Deluxe XL or Silk Drying Towel.
For use when performing a limited water wash on light soiling: Add around 100ml of Finale for every 2-3 litres of clean water in a detailing bucket. Working panel by panel, and starting with cleaner areas first, glide a clean wash mitt (dampened with the solution) over each panel, from top to bottom. Again, there is no need to completely saturate the surface, Dry immediately using a microfibre drying towel. The Finale wash solution can also be worked into wheels using a soft, scratch-free detailing brush.
What is the difference between Finale and Glisten?
While both products are excellent finishing sprays designed for ease of application, Finale Quick Detailer and Glisten Spray Wax offer different characteristics developed to suit different tasks. Glisten is a solvent-based finisher that contains an advanced wax emulsion designed to introduce a high-gloss shine and surface protection with around a month of durability. Glisten should only be used as finisher, or a top up to extend the life of previously-applied waxes (like those in our Signature Hard Wax Collection), sealants and coatings, on vehicles that are already perfectly clean. It is in no way a cleaning product, Glisten is only designed for quick and easy application of wax protection, and for protecting hard-to-reach areas like inside panel gaps and shuts. Finale, while being a carnauba-infused product that leaves behind a warm wax glow, isn’t designed to add durable protection. Instead this advanced, water-based quick detailer can be used for a number of detailing tasks such as safely cleaning away light grime or as a drying aid for a quick and easy, streak-free finish. Mostly though, Finale is used to finish off paintwork allowing it to be buffed to its best, and to remove watermarks, drying towel residue, or polish residues. Think of Finale as the speedy perfecter, and Glisten as the speedy protector and you shouldn’t go far wrong. Can Finale be used as a drying aid?
Yes, Finale can be utilised as a drying aid on any wet exterior surface, and the results are just as good as when it’s used for immaculate finishing on a dry car. It’s crucial to dry your car after the wet work on every detail because, unlike rainwater which is relatively pure, the tap water you’ve used to clean and rinse your vehicle, will always contain a percentage of mineral impurities that, if left to dry naturally, will be deposited on surfaces as watermarks. To help combat this we recommend using a super absorbent microfibre towel - such as our Aqua Deluxe, Aqua Deluxe XL and Silk Drying Towels – to soak up the water, rather than merely push it around the surface. Using a few spritzes of Finale as a quick drying aid has the dual effect of changing the way the surface water behaves, and slightly lubricates your towel to help it glide more smoothly across surfaces, offering a useful extra defence against the risk of slightly abrading paint surfaces or previously applied protection layers. Because Finale is infused with T1 grade carnauba, the same type of top-quality Brazilian wax you’ll find in our Signature Hard Waxes, it is extremely water repellent, so you’ll see that, even with a small amount, the water behaviour immediately changes as the hydrophobic wax hits the surface. Basically, this helps to stop the water clinging to the surface, allowing it to run away more freely. This will also cause the water to bead slightly, which makes it easier to mop up using your drying towel. Simply spritz on your Finale once you’ve completed the cleaning and rinsing stages, and then use your drying towel to absorb the water as normal – the professional way to a streak and smear-free finish.
What is the best cloth to use with Finale?
Although Finale can be used with any clean microfibre, as with any detailing process, the tools for getting the very best results depends on the job in hand. That said, when not being used as a drying aid, or added to clean water in a Detailing Bucket for a limited water wash, Finale Quick Detailer is intended as a final finishing product, utilised in the very last stage of your detail to perfect the surface, removing stray marks and getting the best results from the work you’ve already put in. For this reason - particularly on paintwork and vinyl - it makes sense to use the softest, most sensitive cloth available, one suited more towards finishing than cleaning tasks or removing wax/coating residues, to eliminate any risk of inflicting any accidental abrasions to your protection layers right at the end of your detail. Our Primo Plush Microfibre and Ultra Plush Microfibre are professional finishing cloths that are not only super soft, but their high GSM material (800GSM and 600GSM) also ensure that they’re super absorbent, making them particularly ideal for soaking up the excess when using finishing sprays. These are also large (600x400mm and 400x400mm) finishing cloths, allowing you to get more fresh surface area for buffing as you fold and refold your cloth around the vehicle, to reveal a new, dry portion for every panel.
