It’s safe to say that over the past few years snow foam has become an infinitely popular detailing and car care favourite, and from its ease of use and effectiveness in shifting some of the worst, stuck-on road grime, it’s pretty easy to see why.
The idea of any pre wash processes is to remove the heaviest soiling without physically touching the most sensitive surfaces, particularly paintwork and gloss plastics. The harsher the contamination here, the more harmful, and the more likely it is to cause swirl marks and scratches when dragged across the surface with a wash mitt. This is why performing a thorough pre-wash every time you clean your vehicle is so important to prevent inflicting damage that will require paint correction later. For the best results here utilising detailing products to break down the heaviest soiling like salt, mud and road grime, is essential. And this is where pre wash cleaners and snow foams come in.
Using snow foam is an important part of the secondary pre wash stage, and should be carried out after utilising a suitable pre wash cleaner to eradicate the harshest, harmful soiling. For this initial pre wash process our specially-selected, spray-on cleaning agents, Citrus Power Bug and Grime Remover and Dynamite Traffic Film Remover, are designed to break down and lift contaminants away from the surfaces, allowing them to be safely rinsed off of the vehicle.
Application of Avalanche Snow Foam is the next process, this thick citrus-infused foam is designed to linger on surfaces for as long as possible, breaking down any remaining soiling, holding it in the solution and allowing it be rinsed away without making contact with the surface. Avalanche can also be brushed into awkward areas, like grilles, inside fuel flaps and around badges, to gently lift away the hardiest grime. And, this product has been specially developed to work its way into panel gaps and shuts cleaning away any hidden soiling that may interfere with detailing processes that come later, including paint correction and finishing.
For the best results Avalanche Snow Foam must be applied using a suitable Snow Foam Lance. This detailing essential has the dual purpose of activating the citrus cleaning agents and whip up the solution into create a thick, creamy foam.
Only when a thorough pre wash and snow foam has cleansed surfaces of the heavy particles most likely to inflict damage is it safe to perform your contact wash using two Detailing Buckets, Lather Car Shampoo and a suitable wash mitt.
